	12:33am P-90: They were introduced by the mayor of NY because they were the first act to play the summer series at the pier on the Hudson, and he would come out to inaugurate the series. I believe they were the first act 2 years in a row, and Koch came out both times and (joked?) about what a big Crimson fan he was.

Yes, it was the consecutive "Beat" and "Three of a Perfect Pair" tours that both opened the summer pier series, Koch was there to introduce them both times (note the "3oaPP" t-shirt he's proudly displaying). In fact I think they played two nights each time, the only act at the pier to do so in both those years. Really classic shows.

	1:22am coelacanth: i went to a bunch of those pier shows, but not KC. i tried to like "discipline", but really didn't. i don't remember "beat", though i heard it. ...hearing these recordings i realise that they were much better live in that incarnation than on record, and i wish i'd seen them. (...for 8 bucks or whatever it was!)
