JtotheK:

Good Day Tony! Hi everyone.
  12:32pm
Dean:

That Naxos comp makes me think of an oldie-but-goody on Mercury Living Presence, Music for Quiet Listening, which features a composition by Joseph Scianni, who went on to record, inter alia, two really lovely disks on CIMP, one a solo piano recital that emerged during a break with the recording of the second disk, a trio with Dominic Duval and Jay Rosen.

That was a very long sentence.
Avatar 12:35pm
Tony Coulter:

Hey ho, JtotheK!

P-rock-ofiev!

Grilled Soul and Custard... Whoa. This is great!
Avatar 12:48pm
Tony Coulter:

Though custard seems very un-soulfood-ish. Maybe that was the point -- Woodman is British.
  12:49pm
Dean:

And grilled sole and custard seems vomit-inducing.
  12:50pm
JtotheK:

If there is a 45 release I'd expect b-side to be 'Grilled Soul and Crumpets'.
Avatar 12:50pm
Cecile:

A savory custard could work.
  12:51pm
Dean:

My mom often used to pronounce on random occasions, "Mustard, custard, and you, you big shit."
  12:51pm
Dean:

First Eloy record I ever heard, this one.
Avatar 12:52pm
Tony Coulter:

And here I thought you were a prog-head.
Avatar 12:53pm
Tony Coulter:

I only have this one, and the one after it ("Floating").
  12:53pm
Dean:

No, I mean c.'75. It's the first of their records I heard at the time. And then Floating, and so forth.
Avatar 12:54pm
Tony Coulter:

Ah -- I gets ya.

what Dean said
  12:55pm
V Priceless:

Always saw their records, never took the plunge. My bad
  12:57pm
V Priceless:

Well, not quite what Dean said. I'm a done now. : )
  12:59pm

That's okay, VP. I thought you meant your mom also used to say, "Mustard, custard, and you, you big shit."

Chuck Berry and Arnold Bean -- that might have made a good double-bill, though.
