In the very depth see of the Interweb I found some tracks by Khlam's singer and saxophonist before they formed Khlam. It is khlamtastic! Unfortunately one of the good songs was uploaded with some corruption error.
@Sebastian - I posted a link to FCC's obscenity FAQ page on the Wake and Bake show just prior. www.wfmu.org... May or may not actually answer your question, though.
Yeah...I am Digging it...I get in the car and hook up my "pod' for shuffle...but then I remember to check out FMU...and I do...and the Zanny Morning person get's me going better than coffee!!! You know with all those sound FX and crazy joke bits..!!!
Missed this morning's drive-time spectacular because I was fighting with my bank to get the email address they use changed. For hours. They don't make anything easy.
It's bin a while for this one!!! for me..."Yeah it's us she say's!!!"

Reminds me of Gina D'Orio's excellent "Where did our love go?"

Good morning Ken this sounds way better than the music in my dentist's office. Sounds like the hygenist is really getting all the drool . Good suction,
Is toast_sax from Stephen 'Rinse Dream' Sayadian's "Night Dreams"? It's been literal decades since I saw it…and is metal_head Glen[n?] Danzig, whom I know only from "Aqua Teen Hunger Force"?
I had a cellmate who claimed to have played in Roland Kirk's band. He was dropped on his head from a second floor. So I don't know it was true.

Brendan:
Interestingly enough the Wiki etymology thing says dax (in daxophone) 'is derived from the German word Dachs, meaning "badger" an referencing the many animal sounds the daxophone is capable of generating' . So yes it did sound like an animal. A baby animal.
PEACE all and Happy New Year....waiting to enter salary discussions regarding a fire test lab position...and they are delayed....
@Ken-stay hydrated dude, your six hour stint reminds me of a chemical warfare exercise I went through and had to wear a gas mask for several hours....conserve your precious bodily fluids and refresh them per that officer in Dr. Strangelove!
Okasa, she was hit in the head with a T-Shirt from a T-shirt cannon, and stumbled around for like 10 seconds, and then shen she started singing again, she was singing in SPANISH. At the end of that song, she was escorted from the stage.

Looks like there is an app with an audio countdown timer called "audio countdown"
@Okasa, Ken is lying humorously. It was actually Bulgarian, not Spanish. Spanish! Ha ha! What a kidder.

Brendan:
Give Mariah credit for readjusting and making sure sure the money shot of her cleavage was good when the audio went south. That's (cough- bullshit) art.
P-90, I've determined that personal identification rigmarole in the USA rests wholly on the banking system in almost every case. Everything rests on birth certificates, but getting a new birth certificate depends either on one's making a personal appearance or ordering remotely. Either way requires presentation of certain info that anyone could ferret out who wanted to; however, payment for it is the choke point, requiring a bank to have info on file on you that matches the ordering info.

An old piece by Pippoloti Rist. See it on ubu if you want
How old was Lena when she was asking me to take the ribbons from her hair?

Holy cow. Help me make it through the night!

@Robert: all I did was change the email the bank uses to routinely contact me from one url I've had for years to another one I've had for years. The procedure on the website was simple, but it just didn't work, I had to speak to two different representatives to get it done. Is there any big US bank whose customer service does not simply SUCK?

Fredricksbrooke:
Holy crap. I have that Lena album. The whole thing is creepy. That set woulda done well with the Zip Code Rapists cover of Wake Me Up Before You GoGo.
@P90: My bank in Western NY was HSBC, then First Niagara and now is Key Bank. I got so sick of it I joined a credit union that has been around 57 years...and got a car loan with them for about 4% (compared to the bank the car dealer got for 9.99%!)...Credit Unions can do about 90% of what banks do and are MUCH cooler to deal with...there is a reason people like them and those that use them advocate for them....
I like this Alvarius B and Cerberus Shoal. I feel I should know CS better since they were a local band, but I don't get out much. Thanks, WFMU/Ken for the introduction!

I always thought clay would be perfect. I just didn't think he'd want it.
I think Clay would be hilarious although his taste in music is kinda....70's oriented in a slightly bad way from my limited exposure.......but his patter is hilarious! If you had Clay do the talking and somebody else co-hosting and doing the music that would be amazing, like Joe Belock! Or Jonesy! Or .....IRWIN!!!! IRWIN would be fuckin amazing!!!!!!
I have a friend in Brooklyn, Fred Cookinham, who has a great voice and has worked both professionally and amateurly as a tour guide, and provided the voice for talking books etc. for the blind. I'd love to hear him doing a morning show regularly for $, and I bet he could fit it in with his regular job the same way he's done with other things. Should I ask him?
"Cat Dildos"....heard that one near years eve on TV.

I've always had the feeling that the drive-time slot would turn out to be multiple hosts on different days, rather than one DJ slogging through 15 hours of programs and trying to keep it fresh. And stay sane. I also thought the best solution might be teams of DJs working in pairs, mit der banter und der chemistry etc. But I suppose its hard enough to get even one person reliably in there at 6 am, all revved up and raring to go... Honsetly, just as a model, what Fabio and Clay do together is a pretty damn good template for a morning show. Of course, they do it for like 10 minutes, once a week. At a non-unGodly hour.
Could they install a bed at WFMU like a fire station so somebody could roll out of bed and do the morning show?
@Ken from Hyde Park-I think it works out to more like 50mph with breaks,,,I have data! I drove from NJ to NM several times and over several days it devolves to 50mph average during the hours you are driving....65mp is a pipedream, you would have to go 80mph sometimes to realize....
Digging this slow TATU of the Smiths! Its really heavy like Monster Magnet or Earthless!
Yes Cheri! It somehow got retitled in my MP3 collection.. I still am not sure if this is the correct artist and title to credit. Also, it's a cover, so the mystery lives on.
Evidently, t. A.T.u. have re-broken-up, but as at least one of them would like to see her children again, if Putin asks…and you can't tell me the President-elect has never before enjoyed a performance by two disgusted women tired of pretending to be lesbian for a rich nonce, though not on national TV.
Dear Ken,
after you played Ding(!) there was a music box version of How soon is now, just before the tatu cover. could you tell me who the artist of this is? thank you very much!
