To burn always with this hard, gem-like flame...
Good morning, Nate, hello, Eric Hat.
  6:19am
listener monica:

i am listening on the small ancient kitchen radio. that sounded very interesting!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:39am
Nate K.:

@Monica, that's the best way. The ultimate equalizer.

ratty:

first shazam on this!

Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...set my alarm to not miss this even - & I set it to P.M. ...So Dave Davies on Todd's - April Fools or reality?? The dynamic truth is I'm reminded of Ian Hunter here (which is welcome)...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:21am
Nate K.:

Hey @Revo, thanks for dropping by as always
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:35am
fred:

Good morning Nate and all

Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...not to be confised w/ Tago Mago - or is it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:44am
Sem Chumbo:

@fred: guess your boot heels have stopped wandering 'round Sonic Protest for another year.

Morning, RevRab.

KP:

Hey, Nate. Sorrow I'm tardy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:48am
fred:

@Sem: Probably... There's a performance left this afternoon, but I don't think I'll spend a couple of hours in buses and the subway for a 20 minute show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:50am
fred:

I should add that this Sonic Protest edition was my favorite in years. Plenty of acts I didn't know, and at least one great set each night
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:55am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Where else can I get the friendliest windows on Nova Scotia & Paris to the soundtrack of 'Trash' by the Dolls? How can I explain this cult?...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:00am
Sem Chumbo:

Hmmm, thinking now of a question about how your present taste has intersected with the present offerings more favourably than previously, but, clearly, can't get closer to what I mean than that. But happy your indefatigable energy in getting to shows paid off.

RevRab: questions, questions, questions. Beats the hell out of me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:03am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Just listened to the 'Come to the Sunshine' episode spotlighting Dave Dee 'cetera 'cetera : Didn't really know them! Good lateMod vocal gittar Pop. Interesting.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:04am
fred:

@Sem: Well, it's actually a bit like WFMU: I'm happiest when a band I didn't know changes my present taste, but I also enjoy seeing old favorites deliver (like the Nihilist Spasm Band, who I'm unlikely to get to see again)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:07am
Sem Chumbo:

Yes, can identify with that. Concisely put, thank you.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:11am
Sem Chumbo:

like knowing the *hand* of different fabrics, the Band backing has a *feel* all its own.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:13am
fred:

I'm pretty proud to have seen 4 out of the 5 shows NSB did in or near Paris, and I have an ironclad excuse for the one I missed: I wasn't born
