	9:41am ⓘⓚⓔ: Babylon 5 was pretty corny -- mostly bad dialogue, acting, and production values (it gets a bit better by season 3 but it's never subtle), but Boxleitner was pretty solid, and it was very influential w/its serialized ongoing story, something pretty much never done before (by the mid-90s) in genre TV.

	11:44am still b/p: I remember a comic from my youth in which Odin and Thor lead the eager and vigorous Asgard army into battle against a force under a young, untested and nervous prince. When some geothermal venty volcanic holes or some damn thing on the battlefield start spewing and geysering flame, Odin orders a retreat. Thor asks in confusion why Odin didn't use his godly power to quell the pesky disturbance, and Odin says his decision was to allow some some portion of hope and spirit to remain for mere mortals, so they'll know that not even in a fight with gods is the outcome inevitable. This must be the kind of thing that applies to a bad Isley Brothers track.

When some geothermal venty volcanic holes or some damn thing on the battlefield start spewing and geysering flame, Odin orders a retreat. Thor asks in confusion why Odin didn't use his godly power to quell the pesky disturbance, and Odin says his decision was to allow some some portion of hope and spirit to remain for mere mortals, so they'll know that not even in a fight with gods is the outcome inevitable. This must be the kind of thing that applies to a bad Isley Brothers track.
