Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from April 14, 2017 Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

Hi Annie. So far so good. For me, it's an entire season. My actual natal anniversary (Monday) was nice. I went to Burlington for a few days. I got to sit on the shores of Lake Champlain on Tuesday, when it was 80-degrees out!

Avatar 12:06pm
still b/p:

Hey, tech-time: maybe this is wicked obvious, but my poor download and insanely poor upload speeds are very different. Will I impede a long upload if I keep listening to the streaming music...squeezing the two in the same pipeline? ..or are the inflow and outflow technically independent? The uploads are so stupid long anyway that I won't be able to judge from observed progress.

Doug, my kid has noted that the Immigrant Song is used in the trailer for the new Thor movie and expressed wonder that it hadn't been used before. By way of answer, I posted the video of Jack Black and the SoR extras begging Plant and Paige for permission to use the song in their movie.

One issue, @still b/p: Your downloads require upload traffic, too, to ACKnowledge receipt of packets. But real experts (which I ain't) also suspect ISPs are trying to discourage file sharing by imposing a low cap on uploads.

Thanks, Parq. It was Monday, but I extend the day to an entire season.
