Ridgewood Radio features concert recordings by adventurous bands and experimental musicians and restored archival tapes from private and institutional collections captured at venues large and small across the five boroughs of New York. It is produced by David Weinstein and Outpost Artists Resources operating out of the Ridgewood section of Queens, NY, where you'll find more yellow bricks than on the road to Oz and the cemetery of your choice is never more than a few blocks from home.

Hi David and you out there.

doctorjazz:

(like this Steffi Gudra-I'm a guitar slave)
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 3:14pm
weinstein:

Dokteur! Greetings. Gudra was impressive, as this develops you will see she has chops on both pedals and fretboard.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:17pm
doctorjazz:

Love it! Go Steffi!

doctorjazz:

Very cool set!

Wow! Recorded just a week ago. Pretty soon, Ridgewood Radio is going to be playing live performances that haven't happened yet.

Very nice set indeed

Webhamster Henry:

I like this one .. there's a lot you can do with a simple Delay!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 3:35pm
weinstein:

Don't kid. Falling through the looking glass is one of my phobias!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:35pm
doctorjazz:

Quite a nice range of guitaristic stuff, nicely structured, has sections, very nice!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 3:41pm
weinstein:

It does seem unlikely that the Gudra set was total improv.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:42pm
doctorjazz:

No, I'd expect it was planned out to have sections as it did.
(Ras Moshe set on my birthday, very nice).

geezerette:

David, so much of what you play sounds like audio drawing.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 3:45pm

And you are drawing to it! So we have a complete circle!

fred:

I'm enjoying this Mike Sidnam set, and had never heard of him either
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:23pm
doctorjazz:

(Most of the time on FMU I'm going, "never heard of him". That's a good thing, I guess, but it causes a bit of insecurity as a music geek). (Ras Moshe I know of, Duke of course, Malawi Mouse Boys sounds vaguely familiar but not sure, rest new to me as well).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:26pm
fred:

I guess I would be a regular at the Work Series if I lived in NYC

northguineahills:

Thanks for the Ras Moshe. Haven't heard him since last year.
