	11:12pm Fox (Rā-chul): Jake: Hallooooo! I'm fab, how are you? Melinda: Yes. Synth weed pills. Coel: Yes, it's ridiculously expensive, and I'm only on it because I am poor and it's covered by insurance, while medical marijuana is not.

	11:15pm Fox (Rā-chul): (Medicare/Medicaid is paying some company $1,000 for 3 a day each month. I'd rather have weed, but NY has ridiculously strict laws with their MMJ program, and it's $87 for one vape cartridge.)
	11:17pm JakeGould: @Fox: When I sit down and take an assessment of everything, I am doing fine. Doing fine. You still scanning family photos?
	11:17pm Fox (Rā-chul): Melinda: For pain and chronic nausea. It doesn't help the pain so much as it makes me less miserable about the pain. I hardly notice the high anymore, to be honest, unless I chew the capsules up instead of swallowing them. But the dry mouth is INTENSE!
	11:19pm Fox (Rā-chul): Jake: I .... took a break from that and instead have been attacking my home with the KonMari method of tidying and shedding belongings. It's very freeing!!!
	11:20pm coelacanth∅: damn....from the user standpoint i'm totally with you fox. maybe i can get a script for that. i suppose i'd have to undergo 2 years-worth of "tests" to prove how much pain i've been in for the last 15 years,,,'might be worth it though.
	11:21pm JakeGould: @Fox: Ha! I’ve done similar KonMari stuff including calling it exactly like that. I was basically half-awake one day and looked around my apartment and realized that tons of stuff I had could be sold, donated, tossed or simply consolidated in my place. So I might not have a bigger place, but at least it feels like I have more space.
	11:24pm Fox (Rā-chul): Coel: I have a great relationship with my pain management doctor's office. They know that I don't like to be too sedated, and prefer getting trigger point injections every week. But when one of the nurse practitioners punctured my lung with the injections, which led to a hospitalization for a few days to reinflate the lung, I didn't get angry or complain, but when I went back I told them that I'd been smoking weed to help with the nausea, and asked if I could get a prescription for Marinol, and they dutifully agreed. They really like and trust me there, though. I've had an ongoing script for Vicodin for years, but I only use it to exercise, or one of those few nights I go out on the town.

	11:29pm coelacanth∅: scary, fox. i don't want it to come to that...but my doctor does trust that i don't like to take a ton of pharmaceuticals. - when i broke &/or dislocated some ribs a month ago though a different doctor gave me a script for hydrocodon. i can deal with the ribcage pain, so i'm saving them for the chronic pain.

	11:30pm Fox (Rā-chul): Jake: It's fabulous to get rid of stuff. I sent the bf to a neighbor's place with a huge laundry bag filled with decent clothes. She used to be homeless, and it's awesome for me to get the opportunity to help someone!

	11:31pm melinda: Hydrocodones are nice. I got some for shingles a few years ago but I think they've expired, or I tossed them.

	11:33pm melinda: Also unloading a lot of stuff. I hate selling through craigslist but I think I'll do a bit of that again, since my recent yard sale was disappointing.
	11:33pm Fox (Rā-chul): Coel: Eh. It's happened to me twice now. The first time they reinflated my lung, they put me under with Ketamine. I'd done K in the 90's, but never let myself get into a K-hole. Coming out of it was like experiencing a creation myth. There was a formless void of chaos without any sense of self, and out of the chaos I had the thought that I exist, and thought I should remember that, and slowly came back to myself. And then started screaming in pain.
	11:34pm Fox (Rā-chul): Melinda: craiglist always brings a lot of empty promises of people who say they want something and never show up, but I'd rather that than have to go to the post office and mail shit.
	11:34pm JakeGould: @Fox: Regarding giving stuff away, very cool. Also, your Ketamine experience sounds a tad like “Twin Peaks” if you don’t mind me saying.
	11:35pm melinda: I didn't know that's what a k-hole is. I was pretty dull in the 90s.
	11:35pm coelacanth∅: melinda i got some for a wisdom tooth extraction a few years ago and,again, could deal with that pain; so i saved them for general pain. ...i made the mistake of telling the doctor who looked at my ribcage x-rays that they were "happy pills", so she only gave me 6! (happy pills because it's very nice to not be in pain)
	11:37pm JakeGould: @melinda: My path to getting rid of stuff is eBay or Craigslist mainly based on value and what can easily be shipped. But Craigslist can be weird for me. I have had a small pile of things I have (seemingly) endlessly resisted on Craigslist since like 2012; not kidding. And then in a 1 month period… BOOM! People contacted me to score stuff and I got rid of 80% of it. Weird how the economics of the world almost seem like a random storm.
	11:37pm melinda: @coel my first rx was also for wisdom tooth post-op. I just remember that they helped me sleep. I think I was happier back then so the high didn't register the same way.
	11:39pm Fox (Rā-chul): Jake: It felt very Twin Peaks. Speaking of, I think I'm going to try and be Twin Peaks for Halloween. I'll find some zig zag tights, red drapey dress, wear that ring, I don't know. I am trying to figure out a costume where I can wear the eyepatch, because I hate not wearing the eyepatch.
	11:40pm melinda: ebay seems like more of a pain in the ass. I've actually done ok w/craigslist when I price to sell. My neighbor claims fbook marketplace gets more hits than c-list, so I might try that.

	11:40pm Fox (Rā-chul): I've got a drug addled past. Fortunately, the only good thing I got out of my genetics is non-addiction. I'm OCD, so I get obsessive over things and over do it, but then I stop. My mom's the same way.
	11:43pm JakeGould: @melinda: eBay can be a pain, but if you plan it and you know you have things that have value it’s the best bet. Also, what I do nowadays is I do not ever list at auction anymore. Nope. I set a high—but reasonable—“Buy It Now” but also set it up so I can accept offers. It’s basically the same logic as the way a real collector’s shop works. You have some “showcase” piece you display at a high price and either someone bites or you get an offer that is lower than asking but still high. I have never in my life had anyone buy something from me on Craigslist that was on time. Always late. Always “On my way!” or some bullshit.

	11:47pm JakeGould: @coelacanth∅: It’s easy if you use this method: 12 inches max side, 12 ounces max weight is first class. Anything above that is priority mail. But I used to work in a shipping department so this stuff is in my blood.

(while his coworkers shake their heads apologetically) 40 8-track tapes...bigger than 12" but not that heavy...it would cost so much to ship that it's not worth it. ...a cd shipped to france can cost anywhere from 4 & change to 12-13 bucks, depending on who's behind the counter.

	11:59pm JakeGould: @coelacanth∅: What you do then is you add extra “handling” on the items; like $1 to $2. And then if you pay less in postage just refund the buyer. At the end off the day it’s better to just eat the postage if the item is worth something; just sell it and don’t worry.

	11:17pm Fox (Rā-chul): Melinda: For pain and chronic nausea. It doesn't help the pain so much as it makes me less miserable about the pain. I hardly notice the high anymore, to be honest, unless I chew the capsules up instead of swallowing them. But the dry mouth is INTENSE!

	11:21pm JakeGould: @Fox: Ha! I’ve done similar KonMari stuff including calling it exactly like that. I was basically half-awake one day and looked around my apartment and realized that tons of stuff I had could be sold, donated, tossed or simply consolidated in my place. So I might not have a bigger place, but at least it feels like I have more space.
	11:24pm Fox (Rā-chul): Coel: I have a great relationship with my pain management doctor's office. They know that I don't like to be too sedated, and prefer getting trigger point injections every week. But when one of the nurse practitioners punctured my lung with the injections, which led to a hospitalization for a few days to reinflate the lung, I didn't get angry or complain, but when I went back I told them that I'd been smoking weed to help with the nausea, and asked if I could get a prescription for Marinol, and they dutifully agreed. They really like and trust me there, though. I've had an ongoing script for Vicodin for years, but I only use it to exercise, or one of those few nights I go out on the town.

	11:29pm coelacanth∅: scary, fox. i don't want it to come to that...but my doctor does trust that i don't like to take a ton of pharmaceuticals. - when i broke &/or dislocated some ribs a month ago though a different doctor gave me a script for hydrocodon. i can deal with the ribcage pain, so i'm saving them for the chronic pain.

	11:33pm Fox (Rā-chul): Coel: Eh. It's happened to me twice now. The first time they reinflated my lung, they put me under with Ketamine. I'd done K in the 90's, but never let myself get into a K-hole. Coming out of it was like experiencing a creation myth. There was a formless void of chaos without any sense of self, and out of the chaos I had the thought that I exist, and thought I should remember that, and slowly came back to myself. And then started screaming in pain.

	11:35pm coelacanth∅: melinda i got some for a wisdom tooth extraction a few years ago and,again, could deal with that pain; so i saved them for general pain. ...i made the mistake of telling the doctor who looked at my ribcage x-rays that they were "happy pills", so she only gave me 6! (happy pills because it's very nice to not be in pain)
	11:37pm JakeGould: @melinda: My path to getting rid of stuff is eBay or Craigslist mainly based on value and what can easily be shipped. But Craigslist can be weird for me. I have had a small pile of things I have (seemingly) endlessly resisted on Craigslist since like 2012; not kidding. And then in a 1 month period… BOOM! People contacted me to score stuff and I got rid of 80% of it. Weird how the economics of the world almost seem like a random storm.

I'll find some zig zag tights, red drapey dress, wear that ring, I don't know. I am trying to figure out a costume where I can wear the eyepatch, because I hate not wearing the eyepatch.

Nope. I set a high—but reasonable—“Buy It Now” but also set it up so I can accept offers. It’s basically the same logic as the way a real collector’s shop works. You have some “showcase” piece you display at a high price and either someone bites or you get an offer that is lower than asking but still high. I have never in my life had anyone buy something from me on Craigslist that was on time. Always late. Always “On my way!” or some bullshit.

(while his coworkers shake their heads apologetically) 40 8-track tapes...bigger than 12" but not that heavy...it would cost so much to ship that it's not worth it. ...a cd shipped to france can cost anywhere from 4 & change to 12-13 bucks, depending on who's behind the counter.
