Can't say I know the name Pino Donaggio. Wonder how Italians came to dominate soundtrack work in the '60s and '70s? And where did they go?

FYI, invisible birds is having a sale, 55% discount on the entire catalog for a month. Check out with code oiseaux. Well worth exploring. Some of their stuff is Hallowe-en-worthy.

@ MrFab: Pino Donaggio is a really excellent soundtrack composer, and not just for horror films. He scored a ton of Italian films.

i never cared what people thought about what i listened to.
i remember one day when i was probably 17 when my flowerchild posse showed up at my house and i was playing a 45 of "physical" by Olivia Newton-John. not my favorite song but i was open. they were used to hearing punkrock and blues rock and spacey prog and 2 of them looked like they weren't sure they weren't hallucinating and had 2nd thoughts about me; one just sat there smiling nervously; one, the youngest one, defended me.
