Techtonic friends, my suggestions this week:
- Delete social media apps from your smartphone.
- Pick up a book.
- Support independent, non-monopolist services like these alternatives and, of course, WFMU.

Hiya Mark and TechTones:

in re: killing comedy,
I like to quote Tom Lehrer on why he stopped writing satire: After Kissinger got the Nobel Peace Prize, you couldn't top that (words to that effect).

I used to get a notification on my facebook app and the only way to make it go away would be to open the App. When I would open the app I wouldn't have any actual notifications. What I did notice however was that the very first post in my feed was always a promoted post which meant I was giving it an "impression" by seeing it. Coincidence? Doubtful.

P.S. love the show.
