	9:26am rich k: He used a swimming pool sized bath of water salt and the veggie matter and then kept them under the brine for some time by using rocks to keep them submerged. Pretty old school set up. Did it for many years.

Currently his station's administration is detaining all bags of garbage at the door to confirm that recyclables have been separated from the rest of the garbage and sorted into different piles according to type!

	10:09am The Oscar: As someone who's only ever lived either deep in the woods or in a major city (with no car), drive-in restaurants like Sonic and A&W still seem incredibly novel and exotic. It's maybe my most pathetic bucket-list item.

	10:13am steveo: ate at sonic in page, az 2 years ago; it was passable; we sat at the picnic tables because why would we want to sit more in the car?
	10:14am βrian: Dilly Beans: Yeild: 4 quarts 4 lbs fresh green beans, Washed with stem ends removed 8 cloves of garlic, peeled 4 heads of dill (8 teaspoons of dill seed is ok, too) 8 teaspoons of whole coriander seeds 4 teaspoon red pepper flakes 6 Cups White Vinegar 6 Cups Water 5 (or just less than) Tablespoons Canning Salt [experiment: 4tbs raw sugar] Bring vinegar, water, and salt to a boil. In hot and sterile jars, put: 2 cloves of garlic, 2 dill heads (or 2 tsp of dill seed), 2 tsp coriander seeds, and one tsp of red pepper flakes. Fill the jar with beans, allowing 1/2 inch head space. Pour the vinegar solution over the beans leaving your 1/2″ head space. Fasten jars with lids and rings. Immerse in a boiling water bath for 5-10 minutes. Remove from canner and allow to cool before removing rings for storage. Keep any unsealed jars in the fridge.

	10:20am Cecile: Brian, have you tried a whole dried Thai bird pepper in your pickles? I've put them in my fridge pickles and have had to remove them 1/2 way through the chilling process because 20 year old thai peppers are still freaking hot!

	10:14am βrian: Dilly Beans: Yeild: 4 quarts 4 lbs fresh green beans, Washed with stem ends removed 8 cloves of garlic, peeled 4 heads of dill (8 teaspoons of dill seed is ok, too) 8 teaspoons of whole coriander seeds 4 teaspoon red pepper flakes 6 Cups White Vinegar 6 Cups Water 5 (or just less than) Tablespoons Canning Salt [experiment: 4tbs raw sugar] Bring vinegar, water, and salt to a boil. In hot and sterile jars, put: 2 cloves of garlic, 2 dill heads (or 2 tsp of dill seed), 2 tsp coriander seeds, and one tsp of red pepper flakes. Fill the jar with beans, allowing 1/2 inch head space. Pour the vinegar solution over the beans leaving your 1/2″ head space. Fasten jars with lids and rings. Immerse in a boiling water bath for 5-10 minutes. Remove from canner and allow to cool before removing rings for storage. Keep any unsealed jars in the fridge.
