The reply was something along the lines of, "My mom always told me to get the H out of here." It was followed by a laugh track.

	1:36pm Rich in Washington: I just looked up that Christian Bök Portland appearance and it was over a year ago. I remember not going like it was yesterday. I have become such a hermit.
	1:37pm Tony Coulter: I've been really busy myself, not going to all sorts of shows.

	1:38pm Rich in Washington: Speaking of Australian movies, I really want to see the Oz faux doc Wrong Side of the Road again. I remember it playing on Night Flight in the mid 80s.
	1:38pm Dean: Going to hear The Vibrators at a local bar in early September. Lucero in SF in November. Caught Zeke twice this year. That's about it.
	1:40pm Rich in Washington: The last show I saw, which was a bit of a fluke, as a friend had a spare ticket, was The Melvins last month.
	1:41pm Tony Coulter: I'd like to see the Australian biker film "Stone," based on its great soundtrack.
	1:41pm Rich in Washington: I am much less prone to go see shows during the winter months. But also, at my age, going out, having to sit out one or two acts I don't care about in order to see the headliner, who doesn't take the stage until 10pm, is sort of daunting for me.
	1:42pm Rich in Washington: I too have yet to see Stone. I think it's on one of the streaming channels I subscribe to. I probably should. I've had the soundtrack for years and also love it.
	1:43pm fred: I've seen one show in the past two months (Follakzoid). That's alarming. I haven't seen 50 gigs this year. Even adding dance shows (I'm a contemporary dance fan) I don't think I'll get to 100 this year. I'm getting old
	1:43pm Dean: I didn't go to the show, but because the venue is practically in my backyard I heard Israel Vibration's recent show loudly and clearly.
	1:43pm Rich in Washington: Wrong Side of the Road was pretty cool. It followed two Aboriginal rock bands on the road, their run-ins with the police, racist white Aussies, etc.

	2:08pm Rich in Washington: The goldilocks zone for me to see a show has to be: early, with less than two opening acts; cheap or free; not on a 'school' night. Oh, and preferably in my backyard.
	2:12pm fred: @Rich: I'm with you on the "cheap" side. I might shell out $30 for a show, but not every year. (Dance is another story, but even there I rarely go that high)

	2:21pm Rich in Washington: I sort of got over my 'guilt' or whatever about not going to shows by admitting to myself that I'm not really a live music person. And that's OK. That's alright. I'm good enough, and I'm strong enough and - doggone it - people like me!

	1:40pm Rich in Washington: The last show I saw, which was a bit of a fluke, as a friend had a spare ticket, was The Melvins last month.

	1:41pm Rich in Washington: I am much less prone to go see shows during the winter months. But also, at my age, going out, having to sit out one or two acts I don't care about in order to see the headliner, who doesn't take the stage until 10pm, is sort of daunting for me.
	1:42pm Rich in Washington: I too have yet to see Stone. I think it's on one of the streaming channels I subscribe to. I probably should. I've had the soundtrack for years and also love it.
