Visiting any place where there is low gravity would be amazing. However, the current suit you have to wear in space in general to protect you from all of the cosmic radiation and just the effect of that radiation on anyone’s body for a sustained period of time even with the current suit technology makes a visit cool but living there a risky proposition.

Thanks Amanda! My eight-year-old daughter Addie and I discovered your show on a random Tuesday night in July. We listen to Wake with Clay Pigeon in the mornings so when we went to set her clock radio we found children’s music on WFMU?!? I was so happy to find your show on in the perfect spot Saturday morning! Of course, my daughter is binging on cartoons as is her immortal right on Saturday mornings, however throughout the rest of the weekend we enjoy the show. Thanks to you and thanks to the archives!

about hiccups: since I figured that when I get them, I go insane with anger the more I try to stop them right away -and "with force" almost- , I started trying to develop an "automatized reaction" and let the body do its thing. the moment it starts, I consciously tell my brain not to pay attention to it (so I might start talking to someone or immerse myself in doing another activity) until I forget about it (unconsciously. like what happens when you go to sleep and forget how you did that), all the while breathing deeply (but not necessarily forcefully) through the nose. That last part is what I trained myself to do automatically each time I got them, until it became my body's go-to reaction, without me having to think about it. Voilà :)
