If the dinner wasn't at noon, I could make something, but, it's a 2.5 hour drive (and I don't wake up early).

It'll be interesting, Sister-in-law's Guyanese Halal parents/family (her sisters aren't)(her father is a GOP judge). Her sister's Colombian husband's family, and my cracker-ass family. (Actually, everyone gets along quite fine).

@Franco mmm, I love peaches, had a couple of peach trees when I was growing up. But pumpkin reminds me of happy holidays past. Also it's easier to adapt to low-sugar than my other favorite, pecan.

Frranco: If life has taught me anything, no food helps my spelling (I'm beyond help in that dept). At least there's an authentic Szechuan/Shanghai restaurant here, but every now and then, I crave cheap Chinese American. (also love to cook it, as there's a Chinese market here).
