@Ultra, I like to dust it off from time to time. It's fun to use as a segue
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:09pm

My favorite (which is off course not suitable for broadcast) is Bud's assessment of ordinary people. Classic.

What I remember most about Lodge 49 is that I kept forgetting Paul Giamatti was a producer and then I'd hear his voice as the narrator on the book on tape...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:47pm

OH, wow, I didn't realize that was Paul Giamatti!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:49pm
coelacanth∅:

very nice version!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:51pm
ultradamno:

Took me awhile to recognize this as the Shangri-Las song. I like Neko Case & The Sadies version.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:58pm
coelacanth∅:

i'm sure i never heard Neko's cover but there is another i've heard (besides the shangri-las')
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:01pm
ultradamno:

Neko/Sadies' is on The Tigers Have Spoken. Superchunk's might be what you're thinking of...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:05pm
coelacanth∅:

it was definitely a female vocal, but i'd like to hear that superchunk version.
...though i'm in luv, L.U.V. with the shangri-las so i may not be able to like a different version better
  10:08pm
Johnzon:

when did the sheena's jungle room stream become a thing? first time hearing about it...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:12pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:25pm

Well I just heard "I can't so no to Greek cocaine"...that can't be right.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:27pm
Nate K.:

Haha. "I can't say no to free cocaine..."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:29pm

Green Manalishi was originally by Fleetwood Mac. Love this version!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:00pm

@Todd, yes, thanks! I think I subcnosciously new that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:03pm

Speaking of X "Sugarlight" made it into True Detective Season 3 premiere (as did The Stooges' "1970"), which was about the most interesting thing about it. Also Wire's "I Am the Fly" was in a recent episode of The Blacklist.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:05pm
Nate K.:

TV shows have an abundance of hip music now. It's cool and all, but it seems to be almost expected at this point.

When Teenage Jesus was prominently featured on Preacher I knew some kind of left hand wave of nostalgia was upon us.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:51pm
suzyhotrod:

Great show Nate! (I am definitely sure I underestimated my post production rate for the project I'm editing, cause I heard your whole 3 hour show and my estimate wasn't...)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:54pm

I'm keeping everybody honest, Suzy.
