Here in FL, it may get down to 25F/-4C and up to 100F/38C. Although, it's been as low as 7F/-14C and as high as 105F/40C

-and actually i could prune a lot of these plants by the end of february. apples can take the freeze, to some degree; but last year a tree service came in for the apples in mid-feb (3 out of the 4 are too high for me to reach) and we ended up with no apples at all.
i plan to do the hollies and get a start on the forsythia tomorrow. they can take it.

...yeah last winter was brutal here. not -25 (speaking of Yikes!) but between -10 and +5 for weeks (6?) the roses took it hard, of course; and a few things didn't pull through.
