From the liner notes of Loren Boyer's 1998 Instransitive Recs release, "Des Parasites Risquent de se Produire".(Penned by Davy Williams) "I was asleep in the passenger seat of his car. He was taking me to 'a-for-your-own-gold' place located alongside one of those incredibly deep, azure-tinted cold water sinkholes that occur for some reason in central Florida. Je told me the water came from somewhere in Canada
I remember seeing his guitar in the back seat and wondering if my own instrument was OK. I had left it in the trunk and was wishing I had up front w/ me in the car. Later we waded in a stream w/ a couple of casserole dishes and found no gold at all. Although, in the parking lot, we found a $50 bill. The we drove to the gig and for some reason I rode part of the way on the hood of Loren's car <con't>

We were on a gig together in Tallahassee during the Christmas holidays. This meant that we had an audience of six living humans and two walking dead. At the end, Loren and I played together: strangely lively and complex music that sometimes has that duo thing where tow voices kind of mutually self-multiply into some complez music that sometimes had that voicing (which is a strong constituent of Loren's playing anyway). <con't>

Man this Janus Trio is some far-out, intense shit! Love it!

It was during this playing in fact that one of the walking dead came to life. However, this was countered almost immediately when two of the living humans defected to the walking dead. A short while later, the revitalized walking dead found a %50 bill on the sidewalk outside. Somehow, Loren talked the guy into purchasing some nice single malt whiskey. <con't>

At this point, I must point out that certain of these events have not yet occurred. Setting this troublesome detail aside for the moment, though, I can tell you that when this not-yet-existent incident took place, we were watching a terrific train wreck take place in front of us. Even though there were neither tain tracks or tains anywhere in sight. Loren and I were sitting in lawn Chairs. <con't>

"YOu know", he remarks, "You've heard this song before", I was shocked - or would be shocked to find where I heard this song before was on this very CD. Which did not exist when I first will have heard of it,, no doubt in some moment or other. </end>
