Hey Danny. Can’t seem to make enough time to listen to all the music I want to listen to. There just seems to be an ever increasing list of mixes on mixcloud and also keep finding new shows on WFMU too.

I'd recommend to a lot of bands they should throw in the towel and just collect stamps instead, but then they'd think I was a killjoy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:06pm
Little Danny:

@UM: There were also at least 4 other iterations of it, including these two!

I can’t even begin to try to sort through bandcamp. I rely on others to help guide me.

The singer of Pere Ubu had a song about there being too many bands. Forget which album.

Not sure yet, just garlic, onions, tomatoes, chilies on pumpernickel bread, w/ a whole in the middle to fry an egg (olive oil on the bottom, butter on top).

That sounds delicious.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:51pm

That would have been the 80s, don't remember how early Franco. But they played around the East Village quite a bit, along with some Jazz venues.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:51pm

I really need to sort out those bird call credits, dano! Also the frogs

Per Matt's problem and all of ours: I can handle having a few favorite exotica artists but have yet to go down the rabbit hole of Les Baxter, 101 STRINGS, et al. I also just discovered the Continental Subway show this week ...

Plus I have stuff from the last 3 Record Store Days I need to play and decide what I love
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:57pm
Little Danny:

hahaha
  10:57pm
Dean:

Sun Ra played frequently in these parts...when I wasn't here.

The "VERY HEAVY" bit reminds me that I thought there ought to be a band called Massive Feather (a la Zeppelin, Butterfly). Not so, to my knowledge, but there was a Heavy Feather in the early '70s. They sound like America, Guess Who...very pop, not heavy at all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:58pm
Franco Twinkie:

I saw him at this place called Myrons Ballroom, an old dance hall downtown. One of the Arkestra flew across the ballroom on a wire, just like Tinker Bell at Disney Land.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:58pm
doctorjazz:

Forget it, no time to listen to all the FMU shows I like (and there are streams I haven't checked out yet), not to mention incoming albums piling up in the New Arrivals area. And, of course, there's family, work, the rest of the world...hopeless!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:58pm
