Hello! I'm back from my week in the woods -- so, Joe, late last week we were driving down from Wilkes Barre (fantastic diner there), trying to get to the interstate, and listening to some non-commercial station and we stopped at a red light and there was big green sign with an arrow pointing to Hazleton AND THEN Pulling Mussels from a Shell came on the radio and I was like WHOA the McGasko aura is very strong here.

Linda i never considered that, though it's always been true about individual artists (in general)
my take has long been that there was a renaissance of creativity (brought on by both technological and societal reasons) from the early 60s to the early-mid-70s -on "both sides of the pond".
my favorite era for music is c.1965 - c.1976

@coelacanth∅: Yeah, they filled the Spectrum with volume! I remember it was also a dreaded general admission show and I was very anxious. People were pushing to get in!! I was thinking 'Here we go again!'
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:18am
coelacanth∅:

Roberto @11.08 i would agree with that, except that the mellodramatic quadraphenia and tommy and all that overblown stadiumrock of the 70s was also a different band than their first few albums.
...which was all different too, in my opinion, than the live at leeds concert - which was their pinnacle.
