Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:10am
Amanda:

Philip the baby is most welcome at KIDFEST, and so is the whole family!
  9:13am
dan:

Like the dinosaur picture. Dinosaurs was my interest when I was 8 years old. That didn't last though.

Clummoo:

Good job playing Anika Moa playing a classic Maori song which we were made to sing at school a gazillion million trillion times. However she is most definitely not from Australia! New Zealand Yo! Unless I heard things wrong I apologise.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:28am
Amanda:

No, @Clummoo, you are right and we stumbled on that one, so thank you so much for setting us straight!

dan:

Harry Chapin's advocated for combating world hunger, I guess his brother advocated for the hungry to clean up after themselves.

Good Morning Amanda and Roger. I would like to request a cut from Ivor Cutler (your pick). Thank you.

Amanda, It’s the New Zealand curse. Being mistaken for Australians! Haha. anyway it was great to hear that song sung by the musician/saucy cheeky trouble maker TV host Anika Moa on your show.

tadpoles:

#Clummoo ..... the great Flight of the Conchords addressed the Kiwi / Aussie quandary brilliantly in one of their episodes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:44am
Amanda:

At FMU we try so hard NOT to confuse the two - so the correction is appreciated :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:44am
melinda:

Nice to hear Claudia sing about Billie Jean.
  9:49am
dan:

How did I know that the rhyme for 'slurp' was going to be 'burp'.
  Swag For Life Member 9:52am
tadpoles:

You're in good company Amanda...Joe McGasko did it once saying a Kiwi band were from Australia.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:55am
Webhamster Henry:

Brin Dewan and I did a how last year concentrating on cautionary tales and songs, and cheery songs abut disasters. Clementine, a cheery song about a big footed girl drowning, seemed appropriate!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:55am
Webhamster Henry:

So it'a nice this version modulated into a minor key for at least part of it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:56am
Amanda:

Sounds like a fascinating project WH!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:59am

@annexia - We love Ivor Cutler!!! Requests are usually hard to get to during the same show, but you'll definitely hear him on a future show if not today.
  10:14am
dan:

@Amanda
On the topic of future requests, can you play any McGarrigle Sisters song? I've become such a big fan of their music in recent years.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:15am

Request noted and thank you, always nice to get requests!

In my half-awake dream state earlier, I dreamed you DJs were operating hand puppets in a box. I felt sorry for you because it was outside and it was all stuffy in the back of the box, with the hot sun beating down on it.

Yeah, they made him similar to Daffy early on, before he grew suave.
  10:54am

I like smartalecky Bugs, it's what makes him the #1 greatest cartoon character. #2 is Homer Simpson.
