	9:43am Ike: @Dong, this all began long, long ago. About 20 years ago, Ken tried some crazy pledge stunts. One suggested by Andy Breckman (IIRC) was that if they raised x amount of money in an hour, Ken would have to get an Eagles tattoo. He HATES the Eagles. And he did it! He got that tattoo! So the universe was thrown out of balance, and pro-Eagles forces reigned, leaking all the way down to the Jersey Shore and poisoning the mind of one young music lover, a child named Matt Warwick, whose taste in music was otherwise amazing. He brought that poison back with him to its origin point, WFMU, and played that one horrible song by an Eagle every week. But finally, a new pledge challenge was issued last week, in the last hour of the show, and cosmic scales were balanced.

	10:11am ɛɨk: @ccc, for a seriously cash-strapped station like FMU, you can't really do a pledge stunt by individual vote. It wouldn't make sense. If you say each pledge counts no matter how much, then everybody just pledges $20 (or whatever the minimum is). Then you have to say nobody can pledge a second time, and FMU NEVER does that. It's dependent on repeat pledgers. And anyway, it's not a democracy overall; much like most non-profits, one person exerts significant control.
