Hello Brian, ParUbi, Sem, Carmichael, and Rich!
Are all your berets black, Sem? Or are you a colorful rascal?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm

Mostly black, but a canary yellow, a cobalt, and a tasteful mid-grey also see the light of day, on occasion.

He's a long-lived son of a gun, still kicking at 94. Bet HE has a beret of some vintage.

Hi Mary. I have this vaguely ethnic looking knit hat I bought sometime in the mid 80's on the street downtown when it was snowing. Just yesterday, I was looking at it laying on a pile of books covered with dust. I think it was a popular hat, because sometime later I saw it in a movie, and also some guy in a band had one as well. What is my point? Well I believe it is a synthetic and therefore it will most likely last forever.

I got that retro WFMU tee from the Hellraiser. The original is supposed to be from the '70s but Jandek is one of the artists listed. Does his infamy really go back that far?
Avatar 12:49pm
Mary Wing:

No, Roberto, they replaced a genre listed on the original version with Jandek, heh.

What they should have changed was "news". News on WFMU?!? The 70s must've been weird, man.

So they tell me, Roberto! I think they should have used "Reggae" but then I'm biased.

Franco Twinkie:

In 1973 myself and two friends were in the Tower Records on Sunset Blvd. and we saw Corporal LeBeau. Mike who is very tall positioned himself directly across from Frenchy and was pretending to flip albums but was really just starring at Le Beau, who looked exasperated. This probably happened often, he was very recognizable. The funny thing was, Mike, who would become somewhat famous himself would go on to be one of the founders of Earth First! the radical eco- warriors. Mike was the guy who is credited with inventing tree spiking
