Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from April 10, 2020 Favoriting

Uncle Michael's avatar View Uncle Michael's profile Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

There was a furniture factory near my house when I was a kid. We loved their dumpster - it had all kinds of interesting scraps of wood. One day the dumpster was filled with fluorescent tubes standing straight up - they must have changed out the whole factory. Well, there was a slow moving rail road line on the side. The next train that came by, we had a spear chucking party against the side of the moving box cars. After, the place looked a snow storm had passed over.

Same here, Franco. Or at least the more defiant reckless pursuers of stunts and bad ideas in the hometown gang would've ended up jailed -- though we all dabbled in some real crimes and low-grade delinquency together. The same indifference to consequences that fueled the activities would've encouraged capturing it on video -- heyyy, why not?
