Does thoughts being beamed into someone's head explain words like "When you say per capita, there's many per capitas. Is this like per capita relative to what?"

Lately on commercial Webcast programs the American Radio Relay League has been running PSAs for ham radio. The hobby must be hurting.

Listener Robert:

The funny thing is that radio hams were among the leading early users of online communications, such as BBSs, but now I think they've been pushed into the background by what was once a segment of their hobby.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:45pm
dale:

i used to listen to a ham net from connecticut/vermont and an older woman named minerva ran it. they discussed the weather and car repair and how one ham worked at the brooklyn docks in the 60s and told of how a random monkey might come over on a banana boat and a stevedore would take it home for pet.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:46pm
