@Stanley, likely aired past your bedtime, but efd's show last night has some excellent Scottish punk and post-punk. The first set was a killer!

Also, hi, Stanley!

Also also, that Tomintoul 16 is delicious. Hoping it's still on sale when I go back! Usually I like Islays a little more, but this is really good.

Glad you found the Tomintoul 16 to your liking. A warm glow arises in the beleaguered heart since I bought a bottle of Ben Riach 12 yo sherry cask nectar.
And I'm in for a Society online tasting evening tomorrow. Got my five dram pack and tasting cards ready and a pal in England dooing same.

Zeppelin were the original Tolkienesque band. I read Tolkien when I was in the 2nd-3rd grade. I like him as he invented languages from scratch that were amalgamations of many different family of different languages (he was a linguistics prof), and wove together mythogies from around the world, w/ minor changes, that made even Joseph Campbell an admirer.

@1:16 northguineahills: the british series also lost a lot of its appeal after, hmm, which season was it... well the first few are good at least.
The moustache Freddie has got on that picture - no half measures there, seriously COOL. Actually thanks to this show I have started to like Queen; earlier on I absolutely loathed the music - as an early 90s teenager I heard more Queen tunes than I would have wanted to, thanks to the Greatest Hits comps being played to death (all the redneck bullies in my class liked it)

well, no-one here wears a mask (unfortunately me included - I have no washing machine or any other means of washing them at 90c which is absolutely necessary) well, I have kept all human contact to zilch. The exception is taking long walks once a day, and I am amazed how even in the forest paths and deserted rural roads people do not give a flying f about distances, like today I literally had to jump off the road to the bush because a young running couple insisted on getting very close instead of running on the other side.

One thing about lockdown his the fine fine meals we are having each day. So much more time to cook properly. Viccy and I just polished off my sweet 'n sour 'chicken' and rice.

Yeah, I have been cooking a lot, though I don't feel like I have any more time to get it done! Partly just my brain's fault. Going to try cacio e pepe again on Sat. and keep improving it. I keep getting totally unmotivated to eat during the days, though. Just made myself (appearance of that neighbor was a good excuse to go inside and make food.
