Buskers and talkers

This YIN YIN track is cool, too. I just wish I knew how to make that neat little line above the i's.

Trader Joe's Wake Up Blend through a Cuisinart automatic drip coffeemaker, with almond/vanilla cream. Delish--it's like having dessert for breakfast!

I wonder if cheap beer is becoming more popular in parallel with cheap coffee
Avatar 7:33am
Wolfgang:

Mourn, maybe, but don't fear!
  7:34am
Mark R.:

Interesting chart--the Trader Joe's is actually pretty high-quality stuff--organic, fair trade, 100% Arabica. I find Starbucks roasting process creates a very strong (critics say "burnt") flavor, no matter which beans I choose. I don't mind it so much, but my wife absolutely hates it, so Starbucks beans never enter our home.
  7:35am
Mark R.:

Oh, you can bet they were all asymptomatic as hell, Storkie--I know a bunch of Asian bat eaters when I see 'em!
Avatar 7:38am
leshwatt:

I prefer Starbucks over Tim Hortons, which I think tastes burnt. I need to resurrect my French Press soon.
Avatar 7:40am
Wolfgang:

I've read the french press thing is the least healthy way to go. Something to do with the chemistry of coffee.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:47am
Charlie:

Well, look, it's Stork!
  7:47am
Mark R.:

Of course--I LOVE French press coffee. What is it about me that is always attracted to the most unhealthy things? French press coffee, cocaine, crazy women?
Avatar 7:48am

I hear ya Mark. And WFMU is pretty unhealthy too probably.....

2.5 hours of sleep, this will be a fun day! (will it will b/c of Stork) (insomia isn't fun)
  7:50am

Yes, Lesh--I now think of jackhammers, helicopters and jungle sounds as "music."
Avatar 7:51am
Wolfgang:

northguineahills! Herzlich Willkommen!
  7:52am
Mark R.:

I'm wondering if there might be an opportunity or a brief catnap, NGH. They say one of John Lennon's many skills was that he could fall asleep almost anywhere, almost instantly. If they had a 30 minute break while the engineers were making adjustments or something, he might crawl under the piano and grab 40 winks.
Avatar 7:56am
northguineahills:

@Mark: When I was a teenager, I could sleep anywhere. But by my 20s, sleep is harder to come by.
Avatar 7:57am
northguineahills:

(of course in my 20s, I only needed 4 hours of sleep, and would often take a 30 minute nap in the dj booth before my set).
  8:00am
Mark R.:

LOVE "Child of the Moon," you hardly ever hear it. I discovered the truly strange video they made for it a few years ago--Brian Jones sort of lurking behind a tree. You could read all kinds of stuff into it.
  8:01am
elwyn:

Melbourne is my home city!
  8:01am
Mark R.:

I got less than 6 hours of sleep myself. But I'm currently not working, so I guarantee you there will be a nap after lunch.

Chan Marshall!

uhh, a certain member of BL were friends of uni friends of mine (who lived next door in Brooklyn, random coincidence), and they had an after party after a show, and I somehow got tasked w/ procuring party favors. They had a couple shows upstate, and then had one in DC. So, apparently, they had been up for three days, and they threw it all out of the tour van before they hit DC. Nice lads, they....
