	5:52pm Mark R: I think John might have been hugely influential on a certain segment of us, but there are a lot of people (hillbillies) who never liked him and would do the opposite of what he said just for spite. This is heresy, but I'm not so sure how super great his music would have been, either. I've never considered "Double Fantasy" as anything special, and I don't think any Beatle's post-Beatles work is equal to what they did with the Beatles, except John's first two solo albums and "All things Must Pass." And I say this as someone who LOVES John. The torch must be passed.

Born on October 9th 1940 in a little port town called Liverpool, John Lennon wrote some popular songs for a 60s beat combo that included his mates Paul, George, and Ringo. I'll be playing a fab, gear, and groovy selection of Lennon-centred Beatles' tracks and a few solo ones as well. Come 'ead, lar!

This is heresy, but I'm not so sure how super great his music would have been, either. I've never considered "Double Fantasy" as anything special, and I don't think any Beatle's post-Beatles work is equal to what they did with the Beatles, except John's first two solo albums and "All things Must Pass." And I say this as someone who LOVES John. The torch must be passed.
