We were in New Mexico driving across the res in lightning storm listening to a Navajo radio station and the only words we could understand were - Ford Truck. Then there would be a flash bang followed by rain and hail.

In my comment about holiday I was going to write something about it being a day celebrating anglo-euro invasion of the western hemisphere. Stepped away from it because it is more complex than Fuck Columbus.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:47pm
Franco Twinkie:

F-Troop was one of my favorite shows when I was ten, It had the best comical Indians that always had a beef with the soldiers in the fort. It dovetailed neatly into the first wave of hippie rock bands that dressed like Indians or Union soldiers. I made no distinction, I liked it all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:48pm
Feldpausch:

Great selections ARB. I'm so excited today's show is a double-album
Avatar 1:48pm
ARB:

yeah i mean the whole Eskimo album, and the remix 12" both of which I love!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:49pm

I guess I should stay on topic, Feld, we can talk about Michigan on our own time.
Avatar 1:51pm

their kawliga version is great, i remember ursula1k saying he can't hear any rendition without the residents one coming to mind
Avatar 1:54pm
Ursula1000:

In Adam Ant's bio he mentioned how he reached out to a Native American tribe (forgot which) to get their blessing since he was getting reamed for appropriating their style. The Ants alongside peers like Bow Wow Wow--I always thought they did it with love--mixed w other influences--pirates/spaghetti western/burundi drums...
