The Traditional Owners of this land are the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Boonwurrung peoples of the Eastern Kulin Nation. Bec pays their respects to Wurundjeri and Boonwurrung Elders, past, present and future

we called them thongs when I was growing up in Massachusetts too, but flip-flops is much more common these days in my experience as thongs has become used primarily to refer to... something else.

no I didn't do the backyard bird survey @scott67 - but I should've. I want to get better at identifying the bird species here (often I can hear them high in the trees but can't see them, working on being able to identify them based on calls)

the funny thing about the word thong is every since the invention of the thong, a tiny patch of material That's just enough to cover the groin connected by strings, came into play. people have expeditionally stop referring to flip flops as thongs.
