	6:50am Revolution Rabbit Nov63: Very interesting re dawgies & porcupines ! I grew up with a husky - a sweet & pretty breed - but have some idiosyncrasies. He had to be tethered - & when he's get away they said he was found with quills in him a few times.

	6:53am ?: @Jim; Grackles in song lyric form: Me and Magdalena used to go out every night. They thought she was the pretty one. They thought that I was nice. But the boys that we'd been twisting with suddenly got wildly inconsistent. Like first they're into Kiss and then they're into crust. Spent the summer fighting over crumbs. Man, there must be something more than this. The grackles at the snack bar waging war for popcorn and potato chips.

	6:59am ?: @TTom: yes they grow back. They are actually hairs made of a type of keratin. We see plenty of them. Sadly many are crushed by cars as they are slow & have poor eyesight
	7:01am ?: They also don't "shoot" their quills. They make contact with a predator physically & the quills then stick in the agressor

	7:39am ?: mink, weasels and yes ferrets (often turned out in the wild by people who decide they can't take care of the) all live in area wetlands. I had a weasel here who came right up to me on our deck. He came up the steps, stood up on his hind legs, looked me over & ran on by.

	7:43am StringOFperils: I had a squirrel become very interested in me in the park the other day; I think we might have met before. Then he, or she, wouldn't leave me. It walked with me around the park a bit, just like a dog, and then I had to tell it that it was better off without me, and silently absconded across the nearest street, knowing that I was right.

	7:46am ?: @dano59: A 14 yr old iPod...crazy..I have an old iPod Shuffle, I'd say at least 12 years old, that little 1" square one. All I use it for is a Nike fitness app (pedometer). Occasionally the radio app will work. Can't load music to it anymore, so what's on it is there until it dies :)

But the boys that we'd been twisting with suddenly got wildly inconsistent. Like first they're into Kiss and then they're into crust. Spent the summer fighting over crumbs. Man, there must be something more than this. The grackles at the snack bar waging war for popcorn and potato chips.
