went kinda ape 🦧 over this Cale album when I finally found a mint (import only?) copy back in the early 80s. Heavy stuff delivered with panache. Yet the Cale item that really turned my ear in the early 80s was that ‘animal justice’ (1977) ep with the haunting epic “Hedda Gabler” song.
Still one of my fave Cale moments.

Of course, it’s not quite the same streaming a great old song as finding a gem vinyl … yet a must listening experience as an 8min epic feeling arrangement to die for! The band playing is at punk era inspired power. & you would probably enjoy the A-side of “Chickenshit” & a throwaway of Chuck’s “Memphis”. 😊

Apparently some semi-boot CD reissues of ‘Sabotage Live’ tacked it on to the CD - long out of print again.

it’s hard to look at at face value i would think…like a lot of people liked tina fey’s sarah palin… i just saw it as making her cute and greasing the wheels back then for what we’re getting now...
