Hello from Amtrak somewhere East of Altoona! The frickin WiFi blocks streaming audio/video, but they can't stop me from salivating over the playlist. Slurp slurp.

really have to pay more attention. I looked at the play list and saw Elizabeth Perkins and thought it was the artist. I didn't recognize the name so I googled it and got some actress. I thought WTF? Pretty good stuff for a film actress. Too bad it wasn't right.
Yeah, duke, we googled Perkins, too, just to try and figure out why the song was penned for her. Fans of the movie BIG, perhaps. Or, more likely, the tv show WEEDS.

At least I didn't try to google Rosa Parks.

Is the bed music the Skatalites as dubbed by King Tubby?
I think that's the one I have, just repackaged under a different title...

The BoB! It may be cacophonous at times, but it's beautiful cacophony!

i'm having no skipping or stream-cutout issues on this side, and overall far fewer than when they were doing some tune-up work on the stream at the magic factory a couple of weeks ago. must've done the stream some good!
Agreed 1000%, Hugo.
And ljfw, glad to hear that you can hear all there is to hear, clearly.

Speaking of maintenance work on the stream, I am very sorry to announce that WFMU is sad to be losing our wonderful tech director and all-around stream godsend Mike Adler, who is leaving for a position at Huffington Post.
I'm really killing it with the umlauts today, just fyi.

@Jeff G: Heard of United Front? West Coast band from early 80s. Did three albums, including a live in Berlin one for FMP. Great stuff! This band spawned what was later to be known as Asian improv. I tend to think that left coast is somewhat overlooked in US jazz history.

congrats to mike adler and terribly sorry the station's losing his masterful touch.
