Michael, to belatedly answer your question - Joe B was talking on his show about collaborating with Dave The Spazz on an updated/WFMU-centric version of Harry Harrison's traditional Xmas/year-end blessings. Maybe not a poem exactly.

I didn't grow up in Harry's listening area so my awareness of him doesn't include the blessings. I'm sad.

Hi Julie!
In the alternate Hollyamanda world where efd has more time & longer lists, I'd add Gino & the Goons 'Oh Yeah' 7'' & Lazy's 'Don't Die' 7''. Actually the song 'Don't Die' is meh, but the b-side, 'Soft Sheets' is AWESOME. Which makes me think of meh lps that have 1 great song, such as Gringo Star's Floating Out to See ('100 miles' = the 1 great song). And then there's a very good but not great lp with a brilliant song about lobster, and Boston, anong other things (White Mystery's 'Fun Times', on their Telepath lp)
