August 19, 2014: Call and Call!
I recently acquired a battery-operated record player used to simulate the call of prey and predator animals. Hunters would trek out to the forest or the woods, set up their record player and stick a speaker up in a tree. Then they'd use 45s to lure in unsuspecting wildlife and BLAST them to bits. I'd like to think that once in awhile they brought along some great, greasy R & B or Soul 45s and had a deep woods dance party.

Tonight, I'll spin some of those "calling" 45s as inspiration for your best calls. I'm going to lure you in and BLAST YOU TO BITS!! Call 201-209-WFMU and call.

What kind of calls? Any kind! Maybe you grew up on a farm and had to call the pigs. Maybe you went duck hunting with your old man and got good at drawing in mallards. Or maybe you have a pretty good idea how the call of the wild WFMU listener sounds. Other "game" you can call:
