Listener comments!

Stevel:

Hammersmith is somewhat danceable, in a disco sort of way. Producer?

Let's geek out!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:08pm
efd:

hey Stevel! That Hammersmith record was produced by the band's lead guitarist Dan Lowe.
  9:09pm
Stevel:

It definitely had a beat, as does this set! I'd say disco night still echoes in your soul.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:11pm
efd:

Always!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:12pm
Figgsrock:

did you know that Cozi is showing Avengers reruns on weekends?
  9:15pm
JakeGould:

Oh Duffo. You are trying so hard.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:15pm
efd:

I did not! Is Cozi like MeTV or Antenna?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:16pm
Figgsrock:

It is! It's one of the WNBC digital channels. 4.2 I think. The reruns are at like 1am on sat and Sun nights.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:18pm
Figgsrock:

Holy crap. Off the Record? I played the vinyl that show for one week in one of my P/T on air jobs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:18pm
efd:

yeah, I blew it though! I cued up side four instead of side one!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:20pm
Figgsrock:

Oh no! Is there an easy point to fade it out?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:24pm
efd:

ehh, kind of. ;)

These are the times that try a DJ's soul...

Hail, master!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:26pm
Figgsrock:

That worked. I suppose you could have chopped the end of Zero, but that would be a crime. If that's from 1989, it must have been made when Driven Out was a big rock hit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:26pm
efd:

Figgs, I've got the WW One Satellite Delivery Schedule for the week of April 24 1989 here if you have any questions.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:27pm

yeah "Driven Out" was in segment 2. :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:29pm
Figgsrock:

EFD, that would be great. I need to know when The spots are in Power Cuts.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:31pm
Figgsrock:

Oh the fear I had the first time I had to time out to Rockline live. The credits are amazing!

best part of the show - the 9:30ish cut to the theme song!

That's pretty cheesy. I fully approve.

Yeah, Paranoid Style is real hot! Sounds like a sped up Allo Darlin.

I missed the air horn.

Aside- since Evan's Nielsen ratings are so high, let's muck w them by not tuning in next week. Instead, let's see LUSH at Terminal 5 instead. And instead of paying retail, look at StubHub's very low prices. I and friends will be there (we're chumps & paid full retail). I think Evan will understand.

Eddy in Australia:

Sorry to be a lurker but I had to chime in with a quick note on Chook Race: their name rhymes with book, not juke. it's Australian diminutive slang for a chicken. Go figure.

jon:

hi efd. mind opening show once again. thnx
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:35pm

ah! Thanks Eddy, I'm always happy to get pronunciation corrections. Resume lurking!

@herb.nyc: *Pffffpphht!* Those tickets cost less than the 1991/1992 prices I paid to see them in NYC back in the day!

EFD, I played the full "Midnight at the Oasis" as part of a Yacht Rock I did Sunday, and I half expected to hear your voice say "ticket" at some point.

it is such a fantastic night here in south FL ~ made it hard to come back home. maybe there is a way to use my cell phone & 'blue link' to get this show in the car.. ?!?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:33pm
efd:

haha, @Figgsrock! I should have snuck in and got on the mic!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:34pm

@Loretta, if you have an iPhone or Android phone you can download the free WFMU app and (probably) listen in your car!
Avatar 11:41pm
Loretta:

@ Evan, that definitely sounds doable ( even for me)!LOL I have the app on a Samsung Galaxy & the rest of the info I'll get from the car manual & see if I can connect via blue tooth. Thanks Evan, now I have a plan!!!

My car evidently has rudimentary Bluetooth. I can make calls but cannot stream audio from the phone. Have a good week, efd and all!

Ken From Hyde Park:

I can hook up a USB cable and play mp3 files off the phone, so there's that.
