Today's show will be nothing but 7" records -- and, as a counterweight to the last three weeks of Froginess, they will all be from the U.S.

@annie: I support all editorial ventures! Cool that they were up for some review. Long, conjoined sentences, it sounds like! If you figure you're going to be doing future ones for them, you might suggest they read the work out loud, then add periods where they run out of breath. Sounds simplistic but it helped me in my own writing (and I'm a semicolon fiend!).

Ahoy, Tony, and fellow Tony-ites! That 'Revenge' song sounded like a hippie band trying to get all '80s and New Wave but they still sound like Jefferson Airplane. Fascinating.

Avatar 12:51pm
Cecile:

I would love people who have never pledged before to pledge. I'm hoping to pledge again at the end of the month, but it's been a tough year for me, and I've given plenty.
Avatar 12:53pm
Tony Coulter:

@ VP: Didn't see your name there, no. I think some pledges to this and other Drummer stream shows are probably ending up being credited to the station overall. Still counts, of course -- and many thanks for your pledge!

Avatar 12:59pm

Pledge because us old folks aren't going to live forever, and you don't want WFMU to go away!
Avatar 1:00pm
Nick S.:

I will pledge again when my wife is not looking. How can you see who's pledged?
Avatar 1:00pm
Cecile:

Or pledge because you're going to die soon and you don't want to leave your money to them rotten kids.
Avatar 1:00pm
Tony Coulter:

@ VP: Thought of another possibility: Perhaps the list of people who donated that I was given is not complete? Who knows.
Avatar 1:01pm
Tony Coulter:

@ Nick S: I still can't see who's pledging. I'm given a list after the fact.
Avatar 1:02pm

Oh. You can see who pledged each fund drive on the listeners profile. It takes a little while to get posted.
Avatar 1:02pm

I don't know if you were around when the joke happened, Brian, but it went a little something like this. Diane was playing "Loanshark" by Riot when I had this epiphany that every hard rock/metal title had the unspoken phrase of "in my pants" at its end. So "Loanshark in my pants" Or "Reigning blood in my pants", or "Highway to Hell in my pants"
Avatar 1:22pm
Tony Coulter:

So, one natural outcome of moving to Portland is that now when I go record-trawling I catch many more West Coast records than would have been the case when I was in NYC. Lots of new stuff for me to discover....
