  9:55pm
JakeGould:

Not so great with pizza tho. Deep dish? Nope.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:57pm
Alex of Chicago:

Chicago has a pretty great thin crust, actually. You see it outside the loop, especially on the south side. Cheese on top, cut in squares, and sometimes a crispier crust.
  9:59pm
Julie M:

But Alex, do you support the deep dish?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:00pm

It's not usually my thing, but I'm not a native.

@JakeGould "Path of Totality" was me at a Sherwin Williams in Manhattan last week. Those poor paint store people.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:02pm

The deep dish at Pequod's is a thing of beauty. Not a big fan of the style otherwise.

Burt's Place in Morton Grove was pretty great too.

@efd: Did you take some DNA test? I think I’m going to do that myself to figure out what kind of Eastern European mutt I am.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:11pm

it turns out there was an adoption somewhere up the line, so Davies is the adopted name of some great-great-great grandparent. An uncle did some genealogical research a while back and made that discovery.

As long as this band is named “Midtown Sizzler” I’m going to say: Some band needs to name themselves, “Beefsteak Charlies.”
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:32pm
Kat in Chicago:

I think that is the album name but it would kinda rule as a band name
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:32pm
